Dr. Colton Charles and his incredible team at Happy Campers Pediatric Dentistry strive to make each dental experience positive. Our office is designed to create a safe and nurturing environment for children of all ages. We practice conservative treatment options and we work towards educating your whole family so that we can work together to help prevent dental problems. Parents are welcome to be with their children during their appointments.
This is a place where families are comfortable and everyone looks forward to visiting. Each and every child who walks into our practice is important to us, and we want to make sure they have a stress-free, relaxing dental experience.
Dr. Colton Charles was born and raised in nearby McCall, Idaho and is the oldest of five siblings. From a young age, he wanted to be a dentist just like his father. Growing up in the small mountain town, Dr. Charles spent most of his time fishing, hiking, camping, and skiing. After high school, he attended Oregon State University and then went on to graduate dental school at Oregon Health and Science University. Shortly after dental school, Dr. Charles took a position at a children’s clinic where he developed a passion for working with kids. This led him to pursue specialty training in pediatric dentistry at NYU Langone Hospitals Pediatric Dental Residency program. Dr. Charles now has over a decade of experience exclusively treating infants through teens.
Dr. Charles is a board certified pediatric dentist. He is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, and the Idaho State Dental Association. Dr. Charles is honored and fulfilled to be a part of the Idaho Cleft and Craniofacial team alongside other board-certified professionals, where he is passionately committed to making a transformative and compassionate impact in the lives of his patients.
Dr. Charles and his wife Stacey have two young children who keep them busy and on their toes. They love to explore the outdoors with family and friends!
I was born and raised in the Treasure Valley and have had the pleasure of working here with kids and parents for the last 7 years. I started as a receptionist and now serve as billing specialist, surgery coordinator, and office manager. Although I do not have children of my own, I love the time I get to spend with patients and as well as getting to know their families. I have worked in the medical/dental field for 21 years and it brings me so much joy to help people.
In my downtime I love to travel with my husband, spend time with my parents and my brother and his family, play tennis, and do just about anything physical outdoors.
I have always loved working with kids and really enjoy have a role in creating a positive experience for kids at the dentist. I was a dental assistant for a year before realizing I enjoyed the front office more and have been doing this for seven years now.
My husband and I moved to the Treasure Valley four years ago and feel so blessed to be raising our two kids here!
I love working with children and parents! It brightens my day to greet families as they enter the dentists’ office daily! I taught elementary school for 20 years prior to coming to work at Happy Campers Pediatric Dentistry two years ago. I feel right at home here and love that we have such a positive and happy place for kids to get dental care!
I am a wife and mother of 4 children, as well as a grandmother of 13 kiddos (10 of whom live here in the Treasure Vallely)! Spending time with my family is one of my favorite things to do! My other passions are quilting, taking trips with my husband, camping, and reading mystery books.
I enjoy working in pediatric dentistry because a child’s first dental experience begins here and I love being a part of a great experience that children can carry with them into the future.
I come from a big family so I feel right at home working with children of all ages. In my free time I enjoy going to concerts, rodeos, trying new foods, flower picking, making people laugh, and traveling with my family!
I enjoy working in pediatric dentistry because I love kids and I love showing them the dentist can actually be a lot of fun. It’s my favorite when kids leave my chair with a big smile on their face.
I’ve recently become a dog mom to the sweetest golden doodle who is my whole life right now. In my free time I love to hangout with friends and family, have BBQs, go camping, go hiking, and to go on road trips!
I enjoy working in pediatric dentistry because I love working with kids and enjoy teaching kids how to take better care of their teeth. I have a two year old, Nova, and we love playing at the park and going on nature walks. I am working toward being a dental hygienist one day.
I enjoy working in pediatric dentistry because I like helping kids who have anxiety. I used to have dental anxiety myself so I can relate to those kids and help them have a positive experience to move past that anxiety.
I have 2 children, a boy and a girl. In our free time we love to spend time in the mountains and take trips to the Oregon coast. I have a passion for photography!
Kids are like a box of chocolate – you never know what you are going to get. Two things are for sure; kids are full of love and wonderment. Kids remind me to slow down, be present, and enjoy the little things in life. Kids also remind me that it’s okay to be silly and have fun. Kids are precious, and they bring me so much joy. This is why I work in pediatric dentistry. In my spare time, you can catch me roaming downtown Boise checking out all the fabulous food spots. “Children are not a distraction from more important work. They are the most important work” – C.S.
